2016 Festival Highlights

Top 10 things to see and do at the Festival!

1. Fisherman’s Table Seafood Feast

Join Josh Catalano and Peter Manifis in a unique dining experience, with seafood cooked live as you watch, and presented the way the chefs like it! Accompanied by some of WA’s best wines and craft beers, and all in an oceanside setting at Bather’s Beach.

2. Seafood Masterclasses

An opportunity to learn from the best! Chef Bart Beek will lead participants in cooking Spiced Crispy-skin Cone Bay Barramundi
with avocado foam, soy glaze and accompaniments. At the end of the class, enjoy your meal with a complimentary glass of Ferngrove wine.

3. WAFIC “Tastes of the Regions”

The WA Fishing Industry Council will profile the fishing regions within WA; and you can taste the regions with samples cooked fresh by Chef Peter Manifis and his team. Learn about sustainable fishing, and get the kids involved with competitions and games.

4. Special Guests Shane Jacobson

Shane Jacobson is on stage 12pm and 3pm Saturday, 10.30 and 12 on Sunday. Shane will also be doing “meet and greet” at the IGA stand in the Festival Village 1.00 - 1.45 Saturday and 11.15 - 11.45 Sunday.

5. Little Creatures Floating Bar and Café

Set on the water in front of Kailis Fish Market and Char Char Bull, the Little Creatures Floating Bar and Café is a fun place to enjoy a drink.

6. Tastes of Fremantle Stage

Come and see head chefs from local restaurants presenting their signature dishes live on stage; plus special guests, competitions and more! Stage entertainment runs from 10.30am-5pm daily.

7. Festival Village

The Village marquee is filled with a diversity of fayre on offer to sample and buy including seafood, gourmet deli foods, condiments, desserts and confectionary; plus beer and wine tastings.

8. Fresh Seafood

Purchase fresh seafood from Kailis Fish Market and Catalano’s; or fresh frozen WA seafood is available to purchase from the IGA stand and Fins Seafood in the Festival Village Marquee.

9. Kid’s activities and entertainment

Kids will love the balloon artist and face-painter, and the whole family will enjoy the entertainment on offer with musicians Nicky Sandover, Minky G and Rosco, and Cappuccino Orchestra. The Shipwreck Galleries is open all day too.
